Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 90-day locum tenens assignment in South Carolina, starting Nov 1, 2025. This role features day shifts Monday through Saturday, with shortened hours on Sundays, and involves treating patients from 3 months old and up in a busy urgent care environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Evaluate and treat patients in a typical urgent care setting
  • Manage a patient population ranging from 3 months old and up
  • Perform laceration closures and incision and drainage procedures
  • Read and interpret X-rays and EKGs
  • Apply experience with occupational health cases, including workers' compensation
  • DOT certification considered a plus
  • Utilize Practice Velocity EMR system for patient documentation


Additional Information

  • Minimum 3-6 years of experience in family practice, emergency medicine, or urgent care required
  • Must be comfortable caring for pediatric patients aged 3 months and older
  • Active South Carolina license required
  • Board certifications in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Urgent Care are required
