We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania, starting Jan 1, 2026, for 36 days. This role requires coverage for day shifts, Monday through Sunday, with flexible scheduling options for both full-time and part-time availability. The ideal candidate will be proficient in urgent care and emergency medicine, comfortable seeing patients of all ages, and able to work independently across multiple sites within 30 miles of each other.

Provider Type Needed: Urgent Care Physician Assistant
Schedule: Monday through Sunday, 8am-8pm; full-time (12+ shifts/month) or part-time (10+ shifts/month); minimum 3 shifts per month required
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide independent urgent care services to patients of all ages
Perform orthopedic procedures, including splinting
Deliver wound care, including suturing and incision & drainage
Interpret X-rays and EKGs
Draw blood, start IVs, and administer injections
Rotate between multiple clinical sites within 30 miles as needed
Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic EMR
Adhere to clinical protocols and compliance requirements
Additional Information
Minimum 2 years of urgent care experience or 1 year of emergency medicine experience required
Must hold an active Pennsylvania PA license, DEA, and CSR
Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
Board certification required
Must be comfortable working independently
Submission of a recent NPDB self-query (within 30 days) required
Drug screen and background check (within 12 months) required prior to start
