Provider Type Needed: Urgent Care Physician Assistant
Schedule: Monday through Sunday, 8am-8pm; full-time (12+ shifts per month) or part-time (10+ shifts per month)
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide urgent care services to patients of all ages
Evaluate and manage acute illnesses and injuries, including orthopedic procedures such as splinting
Perform wound care, suturing, incision and drainage (I&Ds)
Conduct X-rays, EKGs, blood draws, IV placement, and injections
Work independently with no supervision
Travel between assigned sites within a 30-mile radius as required
Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management
Additional Information
Must hold an active Pennsylvania state license and DEA registration
Minimum of 2 years' experience in urgent care or 1 year in emergency medicine required
Board certification required
Certifications needed: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Must be comfortable treating pediatric and adult patients
Willingness to consistently work a minimum of 3 shifts per month
Drug screen and background check (completed within the last 12 months) required upon offer acceptance
Submission of NPDB self-query (no more than 30 days old) required during application
