Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 90-day locum tenens assignment in South Carolina. This role begins on Nov 1, 2025, with shifts scheduled Monday through Saturday from 8am to 8pm and Sunday from 8am to 5pm. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-6 years of experience in family practice, emergency medicine, or urgent care, and be comfortable treating pediatric patients ages 3 months and older.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide urgent care services to pediatric and adult patients
  • Close lacerations and perform incision and drainage procedures
  • Interpret X-rays and EKGs
  • Treat work-related injuries and manage workers' compensation cases
  • Care for patients ages 3 months and older
  • Utilize the Practice Velocity EMR system


Additional Information

  • Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in South Carolina
  • 3-6 years of experience in family practice, emergency medicine, or urgent care required
  • Comfortable with pediatric patients (3 months and up)
  • Board certifications required: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Urgent Care
  • Work Comp experience and DOT certification are a plus
