Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiologist for a 365-day locum tenens assignment in New York starting Jan 5, 2026. This opportunity offers a Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm day shift schedule. Providers must be board certified or board eligible in Interventional Radiology per the American Board of Radiology and have a minimum of two years of relevant experience.

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm local time; on-call providers must be available within 15 minutes by phone and on-site within 60 minutes


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform a full range of interventional radiology procedures including:
  • Angiography
  • Cryoablation
  • Balloon angioplasty and stent placement
  • Line insertion
  • Chemoembolization
  • IVC filter placement
  • Cholecystostomy
  • Kyphoplasty
  • Drain insertions
  • Nephrostomy placement
  • Embolization
  • Radiologically guided gastrostomy
  • Thrombolysis
  • Dialysis access and related interventions
  • Biopsy
  • TIPS placement
  • Radiofrequency and microwave ablation
  • Biliary interventions
  • Adhere to established clinical protocols and quality standards
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all procedures
  • Collaborate effectively with referring providers and clinical staff
  • Provide on-call coverage as required


Additional Information

  • Board certification or eligibility in Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology is required
  • Must hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional radiology
  • Must hold a valid medical license applicable to New York
