Responsibilities and Duties
Perform psychological screenings and assessments based on available records and clinical interviews with inmates.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, mental health service providers, physicians, nurses, social workers to integrate treatment activities and ensure continuous patient care.
Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans based on evaluation of needs and level of functioning.
Conduct regular rounds in segregation or confined housing areas to assess inmate adjustment and mental health treatment needs.
Provide mental health assessments, counseling, and confrontation avoidance interventions for inmates in crisis.
Consult with various clinical staff to understand escalation of problem behaviors and changes in mental health conditions.
Additional Information
US Citizenship required for ICE clearance.
Candidates will undergo a thorough background and credit investigation.
Fingerprinting is completed on the first day; worker is eligible for guaranteed hours while clearance is pending.
