We are seeking a Psychology Specialist for a 30-day locum tenens assignment in Tennessee, starting on Aug 4, 2025. This part-time role requires 20 hours a week, providing care and psychological assessments within a correctional setting. The specialist will join a dedicated mental health team, contributing to inmate care plans and assessments.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform psychological screenings and assessments based on available records and clinical interviews with inmates.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, mental health service providers, physicians, nurses, social workers to integrate treatment activities and ensure continuous patient care.
• Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans based on evaluation of needs and level of functioning.
• Conduct regular rounds in segregation or confined housing areas to assess inmate adjustment and mental health treatment needs.
• Provide mental health assessments, counseling, and confrontation avoidance interventions for inmates in crisis.
• Consult with various clinical staff to understand escalation of problem behaviors and changes in mental health conditions.

• Candidates will undergo a thorough background and credit investigation.
