We are seeking a Psychiatrist for a 20-day locum tenens assignment in Michigan, beginning on Aug 26, 2025. This opportunity involves weekday shifts from 8am to 5pm with call coverage from 5pm to 8am. The role entails supervising a team and providing inpatient care in a psychiatric setting, handling a variety of mental health disorders.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supervise and collaborate with a psychiatric NP and other healthcare providers
  • Manage an average of 12 patients per day
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of psychiatric disorders including anxiety, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, and more
  • Conduct involuntary commitments, seclusion therapy, pharmacotherapy, group therapy, and restraint application
  • Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and patient management


Additional Information

  • Board Certified in Psychiatry
  • Active MI license and BLS certification required
  • Must be available for the entire duration of the assignment with no exceptions
  • Familiarity with various treatment protocols and security measures in place
