Physician - Orthopedic Surgeon

Job Description

Our client in NC is actively seeking a skilled Physician specializing in Orthopedic Surgery for a 6-day locum tenens assignment beginning Jun 26, 2026. This role primarily involves providing 24-hour call coverage, managing a diverse range of orthopedic cases including daily consults, emergency department visits for closed reductions and admissions, and performing various surgical procedures such as wrist, ankle, and hip fracture repairs, and incision and drainage.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide 0-3 consults per day
• Conduct 0-2 visits to the ED for closed reductions and admissions
• Perform 0-2 surgeries per day, including wrist, ankle, and hip fractures, and incision and drainage procedures
• Stabilize and transfer long bone trauma cases

Additional Information

• Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery
• Will utilize Meditech EHR
