Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Orthopedic Surgeon for an exciting locum tenens opportunity in Iowa, starting Sep 14, 2026. This assignment involves 7a-7a out of house call, where you will examine, admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and consult with patients of all ages, addressing a wide range of conditions, illnesses, and injuries of the musculoskeletal system.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Examine, admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to patients of all ages.
  • Address various conditions, illnesses, and injuries of the extremities, spine, and associated structures using medical, surgical, and physical means.
  • Manage cases involving trauma, infections, tumors, and metabolic disturbances of the musculoskeletal system.
  • Treat deformities, injuries, and degenerative diseases of the spine, hands, feet, knee, hip, shoulder, and elbow.
  • Handle primary and secondary muscular problems, along with the effects of central or peripheral nervous system lesions on the musculoskeletal system.
  • Supervision of advanced practice providers is not expected.
