Physician - Orthopedic Surgeon

Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Orthopedic Surgeon for an urgent 60-day locum tenens assignment in Iowa, commencing Sep 25, 2026. This critical role involves covering orthopedic traumas, handling same-day add-ons, and managing inpatient cases as required, all while maintaining a 24-hour pager call schedule. The Physician will be responsible for providing coverage across multiple locations in both Iowa and Illinois.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Be on a 24-hour pager call schedule, responding to inpatient cases as needed
• Cover orthopedic traumas and same-day add-ons
• Manage orthopedic traumas, including those at a Trauma Level III facility
• Provide coverage across locations in Iowa and Illinois
• Total joint procedures are not a requirement

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Orthopaedic Surgery required
• Experience with Cerner EMR
