We are seeking a skilled Orthopedic Physician Assistant for a 24-day locum tenens assignment in New Jersey, starting Oct 6, 2025. The position requires working in the OR, assisting in orthopedic surgeries on scheduled days—Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. This role involves handling multiple cases per day without the responsibilities of call or trauma care.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Serve as a first assist in orthopedic surgeries in the OR.
  • Manage a varying number of cases each day, from three to potentially six or more, depending on the daily schedule.
  • Ensure high-quality care and adherence to all surgical protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with the surgical team and support staff.


Additional Information

  • Required certifications include Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
  • Board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery is required.
  • Must be licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in New Jersey.
  • Experience working in the OR is essential.
  • Proficiency with the Epic EMR system is necessary.
