Job Description

We are seeking an Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for a 60-day assignment in Washington, starting Jul 20, 2026. This role involves clinic hours from 8 am to 4:45 pm, alongside 24-hour call, focusing on a 60-70% OB to 30-40% Gyn patient mix. The physician will manage a diverse range of cases, including high-risk pregnancies, various gynecological concerns, and in-office procedures like LEEP, colposcopy, and birth control placements, ensuring comprehensive patient care.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage a patient mix of 60-70% Obstetrics and 30-40% Gynecology.
  • Care for both high-risk and low-risk obstetric patients, including those with diabetes, hypertension, advanced maternal age, and multiples up to twins.
  • Handle a diverse patient population with varied language needs.
  • Perform gynecological services such as annual exams, management of abnormal uterine bleeding, birth control consultations, and surgical consults for conditions like fibroids and polyps.
  • Conduct in-office procedures including circumcisions (optional for provider), LEEP, and colposcopy.
  • Provide various birth control options, including Depo, IUDs (Paragard and Mirena in office, others can be ordered), and Nexplanon placement.
  • Manage labor and delivery patients.
  • Assist Certified Nurse Midwives and Family Practice OB providers.
  • Provide GYN coverage in the Emergency Room.
  • Work within a Nursery setting.
  • Be comfortable practicing in a Critical Access Hospital environment.
  • Utilize an in-office sonographer for early OB dating scans, position checks, and basic GYN ultrasounds; locums in clinic would likely not read ultrasounds.
