Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania, starting Oct 6, 2025. This opportunity involves 24-hour out-of-house call coverage with a required 30-minute response time. The ideal candidate will manage both low and high-risk pregnancies, perform labor and delivery procedures, and provide surgical gynecology services for a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage low and high-risk pregnancies, including cases involving twins, toxemia, diabetes, cardiac conditions (Class II or higher), chronic lung or renal disease
  • Perform labor and delivery procedures, including:
  • Routine vaginal deliveries and low forceps deliveries
  • Decision-making for C-sections
  • Complicated deliveries such as C-sections, breech, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
  • Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
  • Perform gynecological procedures, including:
  • Surgical gynecology (open procedures)
  • Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures such as tubal ligation, LOA, and chromal tubation
  • Operative/major procedures including ectopic pregnancy management, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOA


Additional Information

  • Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
  • Active Pennsylvania medical license required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
