Job Description

 Wellhart is seeking a board-certified OB/GYN physician for a 60-day locum tenens assignment at a hospital in Ohio starting 11/24/2025. The assignment covers every other weekend, from Friday 7am through Sunday 7am, with specific dates to be determined. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing both low and high-risk pregnancies, performing various obstetric and gynecological procedures, and providing comprehensive care in labor and delivery. This role requires expertise in both routine and complicated deliveries, including C-sections and VBACs, as well as a range of gynecological surgeries. The position utilizes Epic EMR and offers a 1:4 call ratio, with potential for extension.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Manage low and high-risk pregnancies

• Perform and interpret fetal heart rate monitoring (NST/CST/FSE)

• Conduct and interpret OB ultrasounds, including Level I/Screening

• Execute routine and complicated deliveries, including vaginal, C-section, and VBAC

• Handle multiple births, breech presentations, and obstetric emergencies

• Repair 3rd and 4th-degree lacerations

• Perform open and laparoscopic gynecological surgeries

• Conduct minor procedures such as tubal ligations and adhesiolysis

• Manage major gynecological cases including ectopic pregnancies, ovary removals, and cystectomies

• Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and care coordination

• Provide on-call coverage as scheduled

• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare providers

• Ensure high-quality patient care and safety standards are met
