Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Obstetrician/Gynecologist for a 12-week locum tenens assignment in Ohio, starting Oct 31, 2025. This role involves OB call for Labor & Delivery, surgical cases, and inpatient consults with specific coverage dates, and includes a 1:4 weekend call schedule. The ideal candidate will handle an average of one delivery per day.


Job Details

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal, low forceps, and C-sections
  • Decision-making for C-sections as required
  • Management of both low and occasional high-risk pregnancies
  • Fetal heart rate interpretation using NST/CST/FSE
  • Performance and interpretation of OB ultrasounds (Level I/Screening and Level II/Targeted)
  • Surgical procedures and inpatient consults during assigned call times


Additional Information

  • Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Completion of an ABOG or AOA-accredited OB/GYN residency required
  • Active Ohio medical license required
  • Preference for candidates with a clean malpractice and licensure history
  • Experience with 50 deliveries in the last 12 months, including at least 5 C-sections, required for credentialing
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
  • EMR Used: Meditech EHR
