Job Description

 Wellhart is seeking an experienced OB/GYN Physician for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Michigan. This assignment spans 9 non-consecutive days starting 09/11/2025, consisting of 24-hour in-house call shifts from 7am to 7am. The ideal candidate should be proficient in deliveries, C-sections, and other in-house call duties. This opportunity offers a chance to provide crucial obstetric and gynecological care in a hospital setting, utilizing the Cerner electronic health record system. The position requires a valid Michigan medical license and the ability to manage a variety of OB/GYN cases during extended in-house call shifts.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care during in-house call shifts

• Perform deliveries, including vaginal and cesarean sections

• Manage obstetric and gynecological emergencies

• Conduct patient examinations and assessments

• Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies

• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records using the Cerner system

• Adhere to hospital protocols and guidelines for OB/GYN care

• Ensure high-quality patient care and safety standards are met


Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of Michigan

• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required

• Experience with high-risk pregnancies and complicated deliveries preferred

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
