Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Physician specializing in Obstetrics/Gynecology for a 90-day assignment in Iowa, starting Oct 23, 2026. This role involves 24-hour (8a-8a) shifts, where you will triage and deliver obstetric patients, cover emergency room calls for OB/GYN, round on unit patients, and manage no-doc patients.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Triage and deliver obstetric patients
  • Cover emergency room calls for OB/GYN
  • Round on unit patients
  • Cover no-doc patients (approximately 1 or less per day)
  • Perform circumcisions if able (not mandatory)
  • Manage low risk pregnancies (e.g., history of twins, toxemia, pyelonephritis)
  • Manage high risk pregnancies (e.g., with toxemia, diabetes, Class II or Higher Cardiacs, chronic lung problems, chronic renal disease)
  • Perform FHR Interpretation – NST/CST/FSE
  • Conduct OB ultrasounds – Performance of Level I/Screening (Viability)
  • Perform Amniocentesis


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required.
  • Experience with Cerner and Epic EMR systems.
