Job Description

 Wellhart is seeking an experienced Interventional Cardiologist for a locum tenens position at a Hospital in Pennsylvania. This 21-day assignment requires a physician to provide 24-hour call coverage, including cath lab duties from 8 am to 5 pm, night call from 5 pm to 8 am, and weekend call with inpatient rounding. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a Trauma environment, performing outpatient and inpatient caths, and providing STEMI coverage. The assignment starts on 03/02/2026, with a potential for extension. The provider will work 7 days per month, with opportunities for additional days if available. This role offers a collaborative environment with NP support during daylight hours and APP coverage on weekends to assist with discharges.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide 24-hour call coverage for 7 days per month
• Perform outpatient and inpatient catheterizations
• Manage STEMI patients and provide appropriate care
• Conduct inpatient rounding during weekend calls
• Collaborate with NPs and APPs for patient care and discharges
• Utilize Cerner and Epic electronic health record systems
• Respond to calls within 30 minutes when on-call
• Adapt to a Trauma environment
