Job Description
We are seeking a Physician - Neurologist for a 60-day assignment in Pennsylvania. Our client requires coverage for an outpatient general neurology clinic with a Monday through Friday schedule, offering either 8-hour shifts (8am-4:30pm) or 10-hour shifts (7am-5:30pm). The role involves managing a diverse caseload of general neurological conditions such as tremor, migraine, history of CVA, MS, myasthenia, seizure, and Parkinson's disease, with no call or hospital work required.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide office visits for general neurological conditions, including tremor, migraine, history of CVA, MS, myasthenia, seizure, Parkinson's disease, and dementia.
- Manage medication refills and address patient inquiries relayed by call center staff.
- See approximately 15 patients during an 8-hour clinic day or 19-24 patients during a 10-hour clinic day.
- Focus primarily on return patients, with a mix of new and established patients.
Additional Information
- Board Certifications: Required in Neurology.
- Other Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- EMR System: Epic.
- Setting: Outpatient (Clinic Only).
- Call Schedule: No call and no hospital work.
- Patient Volume: Approximately 15 patients per 8-hour clinic day or 19-24 patients per 10-hour clinic day.
- LOA: 60 Days.
- Staffing Mix: APPs maintain their own schedule independent of the physician.
