Physician Assistant - Neurology

Job Description

Our client in Illinois is seeking a dedicated Neurology Physician Assistant for a 60-day assignment, commencing May 4, 2026. This role involves 7 AM to 7 PM shifts, where you will focus on inpatient rounding, performing patient assessments, assisting with care coordination, and collaborating closely with neurosurgeons and the clinical team to deliver high-quality neurological services.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Round on neurosurgery inpatients
• Perform patient assessments and documentation
• Assist with care coordination and discharge planning
• Provide support in clinic as needed
• Collaborate closely with neurosurgeons and clinical team
• Perform new patient consults
• Manage stroke alerts and respond to acute ED and transfer evaluations
• Handle pre- and post-operative management of endovascular cases
• Perform intermittent clinic in-basket management
• Collaborate with attending neurologists, hospital staff, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
