Job Description

 Wellhart is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in Neurology for a 60-day locum tenens assignment at a hospital in Ohio. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with radiologic exam interpretation (unofficial) and participating in code stroke response teams. This opportunity begins on 11/24/2025, with a flexible schedule of 12 shifts per month, working either 7a-7p or 10a-10p. The selected Nurse Practitioner will provide high-quality neurological care, collaborate with the healthcare team, and ensure patient safety. Proficiency in Epic electronic health record system is required. There is potential for assignment extension for the right candidate.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide comprehensive neurological care to patients

• Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans

• Interpret radiologic exams (unofficial capacity)

• Participate in code stroke response teams

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals

• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and hospital policies

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Epic EHR system

• Provide patient and family education regarding neurological conditions and treatments

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities


Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Ohio

• Experience in neurology strongly preferred
