Job Description

Our client in Missouri is actively seeking a Neonatology Nurse Practitioner for a 30-day assignment starting Jun 1, 2026. This role involves providing in-house coverage with 12-hour and 24-hour shifts, delivering comprehensive care for critically ill and premature newborns in NICUs. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage admissions and daily care, and respond to neonatal emergencies within the system.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Deliver care for critically ill and premature newborns in NICUs
  • Participate in in-house coverage shifts (12-hour and 24-hour)
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including neonatologists and maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) specialists
  • Support well-baby nursery coverage as needed
  • Manage admissions, daily care, and stabilization of neonates
  • Respond to neonatal emergencies and transfers within the system
  • Maintain high standards of clinical documentation and patient safety
