Physician - Maternal Fetal Medicine

Job Description

We are seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician for a 30-day assignment in Michigan, starting Jan 1, 2027. This role involves daily shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with nightly call back on weekdays and weekends. The physician will be responsible for performing procedures such as amniocentesis, cerclage, and external cephalic versions, alongside interpreting ultrasound services and managing high-risk obstetrics patients.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform amniocentesis.
• Conduct cerclage procedures, including rescue cerclage.
• Execute external cephalic versions (ECV).
• Perform chorionic villus sampling (CVS) as preferred.
• Review and round on inpatient maternal-fetal medicine patients with residents.
• Provide inpatient and phone consultations, with in-person evaluation when clinically needed.
• Supervise residents in high-risk OB clinic as needed.
• Interpret and manage ultrasound services and related consults.

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Maternal-Fetal Medicine required.
• Shift hours are 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
• Call schedule includes nightly call back on weekday nights and weekends.
• No delivery coverage, GYN surgery, or GYN call coverage is expected.
• The locum is expected to interpret ultrasounds.
