Job Description

 Wellhart is seeking a skilled Mammography Physician for a 120-day locum tenens assignment at a hospital in South Carolina. The assignment begins on 11/10/2025, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm. The ideal candidate will be proficient in performing screening mammograms, diagnostic mammograms, biopsies, needle localizations, and stereotactic procedures. This role requires expertise in both diagnostic and procedural mammography, as well as experience with Epic EMR, GE equipment, and Powerscribe. The position offers a chance for extension and requires an active South Carolina medical license.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform screening mammograms for early detection of breast cancer

• Conduct diagnostic mammograms to evaluate abnormal findings

• Execute breast biopsies and needle localizations

• Carry out stereotactic procedures as needed

• Interpret mammographic images and provide detailed reports

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care

• Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and care coordination

• Operate GE mammography equipment efficiently

• Use Powerscribe for accurate and timely reporting

• Adhere to all safety protocols and quality assurance measures

• Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and results

• Stay current with the latest advancements in mammography techniques and technologies
