Job Description

We are seeking a Mammography specialist for a locum tenens assignment in New Jersey, starting Oct 20, 2025, for a 3-week duration. This opportunity involves 9-hour shifts providing cross coverage across multiple tertiary care hospitals. The ideal candidate will excel in diagnostic and procedural mammography, including breast biopsies, and will collaborate closely with referring physicians. Proficiency with the Epic EMR system is required.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform image-guided breast biopsy procedures, including ultrasound-guided and stereotactic biopsies
  • Provide comprehensive consultations with patients to explain procedures and address concerns
  • Collaborate with referring physicians to plan and execute interventional procedures
  • Monitor patients post-procedure, manage complications, and provide follow-up care as needed
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of all procedures and patient interactions
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and procedural outcomes


Additional Information

  • Must be licensed to practice in New Jersey
  • Background experience in mammography diagnostics and procedures required
  • Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
