Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Interventional Neurologist for an impactful 10-day assignment in Iowa, commencing Apr 13, 2026. This role involves 24-hour shifts, focusing on providing emergent thrombectomy procedures for acute ischemic stroke patients, managing inpatient neurovascular cases, and ensuring timely, high-quality stroke intervention care. The successful Physician will respond to stroke alerts and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide 24-hour on-call coverage for thrombectomy cases and acute stroke response.
  • Perform emergent mechanical thrombectomy procedures for acute ischemic stroke patients.
  • Respond to stroke alerts and urgent callback cases.
  • Collaborate with neurology and IR teams for coordinated stroke care.
  • Perform image-guided vascular procedures and interventions as appropriate.
  • Manage inpatient neurovascular cases requiring intervention and neurovascular emergency procedures.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality stroke intervention care.
