Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Cardiologist to join our client's team in Pennsylvania for a 9-day assignment starting Jun 1, 2026. This role involves comprehensive cathlab coverage, including STEMIs, cardiac caths, and interventions, with a preference for providers skilled in urgent Acute Pulmonary Emboli procedures. The schedule includes Monday-Friday 7a-5p with weeknight call (5p-7a or 6p-6a) and a 1:4 weekend call rotation (Sat-Sun 7a-7a), focusing on consults without rounding or admissions.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive cathlab coverage for the facility.
  • Manage STEMIs, cardiac caths, and various interventional procedures.
  • Perform urgent Acute Pulmonary Emboli procedures (preferred).
  • Handle consult-only patient interactions; cardiology is not the admitting physician.
  • Participate in Monday-Friday 7a-5p shifts.
  • Provide weeknight call coverage from 5p-7a (or 6p-6a).
  • Engage in 1:4 weekend call coverage on Saturdays and Sundays from 7a-7a, with no rounding required.
  • Respond to STEMI notifications via phone and pager, confirming receipt with the switchboard.
  • Manage approximately 0-4 call-ins throughout a weekend; staff averages 10 call-ins per month.
