Our client in Alabama seeks an Interventional Cardiologist for a 40-day assignment beginning Jul 1, 2026. This role involves 24-hour call, focusing on diagnosing and treating heart and blood vessel diseases. The physician will perform cardiac catheterizations, angioplasty, and stent placements, manage emergency heart attacks, and provide comprehensive patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Diagnose heart and blood vessel diseases by reviewing symptoms, medical history, and test results.
- Perform cardiac catheterizations (angiograms) to examine the coronary arteries and identify blockages.
- Conduct angioplasty and place stents to open narrowed or blocked arteries and restore blood flow.
- Treat emergency heart attacks by quickly reopening blocked arteries to prevent heart muscle damage.
- Monitor and manage patients before and after procedures, including prescribing medications and tracking recovery.
- Educate patients and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals to support long-term heart health.
