Job Description

We are seeking a Hospitalist for a locum tenens assignment in Virginia starting Nov 3, 2025. This opportunity offers an 84-day contract with a schedule of 14 shifts per assignment period. The ideal candidate will provide inpatient hospital care and support the team during this ongoing requisition.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide inpatient hospitalist care to admitted patients
  • Manage acute and chronic medical conditions within the hospital setting
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Participate in onboarding and orientation, including EPIC EMR training
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and quality standards
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation


Additional Information

  • Must have an active Virginia medical license, board certification in Hospital Medicine, and DEA registration
  • Residency training from an accredited university required
  • Required certifications: ATLS, ACLS, PALS, Preeclampsia Certificate
  • Orientation and EPIC EMR training required within specified timeframe
