 Wellhart is seeking a skilled Physician specializing in Hospitalist care for a locum tenens position in Texas. This 21-day assignment offers an opportunity to work in a hospital setting, covering 7+ shifts per month, including both day and night shifts. The ideal candidate should be located at least 240 miles outside of El Paso. Starting 11/15/2025, this role requires a current Texas license and expertise in hospitalist care, with a focus on nocturnist duties. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive inpatient care, managing patient admissions and discharges, and collaborating with healthcare teams. There is potential for extension based on performance and facility needs.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care to a diverse patient population

• Conduct patient rounds, assess medical conditions, and develop treatment plans

• Manage overnight patient care and address urgent medical issues

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

• Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret test results

• Manage patient admissions, transfers, and discharges

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives as needed

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
