Job Description

We are seeking a Board Certified Hospitalist for a 10-day locum tenens assignment in South Carolina, starting Oct 18, 2025. This role involves working 24-hour shifts with 24/7 call coverage as the solo provider. The Hospitalist must be comfortable performing procedures and managing patient care independently throughout each scheduled stretch.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Serve as the solo Hospitalist provider for assigned coverage periods
  • Perform required procedures including lumbar puncture, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
  • Manage inpatient admissions, rounds, and discharges
  • Respond promptly to urgent and emergent patient needs
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Meditech EHR
  • Ensure high standards of patient care and adherence to clinical protocols


Additional Information

  • Board Certification required
  • Active South Carolina medical license required
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Minimum of 1 year of autonomous experience as a Hospitalist is required
  • Must be comfortable practicing independently and performing procedures
