Job Description

We are seeking a board certified Internal Medicine and Pediatric Hospitalist for a locum tenens assignment in Michigan. This opportunity begins on Dec 13, 2025, and spans 60 days, focusing on night shifts with a minimum of 10 to 14 shifts required. The assignment is open to physicians who are dual board certified or board eligible in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and who hold an active Michigan license and DEA.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide hospitalist care for both adult and pediatric inpatients
  • Manage admissions, rounds, and consults for internal medicine and pediatric patients
  • Respond to acute medical issues for both adult and pediatric populations during night shifts
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters in compliance with hospital standards
  • Adhere to hospital protocols and regulatory requirements


Additional Information

  • Must be board certified or board eligible in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
  • Active Michigan medical license and DEA are required at the time of application
  • Family Medicine specialists are not accepted for this position
