Physician - Hospitalist

Job Description

We are seeking a Physician - Hospitalist for a 15-day assignment in Maine, commencing Mar 13, 2026. This role involves 24-hour solo coverage at a rural hospital, with a typical day including 12-15 active working hours and the remainder on call, supported by overnight nocturnists. The physician will manage a variety of cases, including performing essential procedures like central line placement, vent management, and emergent intubations.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide 24-hour solo coverage for a rural hospital, typically working 12-15 hours with the remainder on call and overnight Nocturnist support.
• Perform required procedures including Central Lines, Vent Management, Emergent Intubations, Lumbar Puncture, Paracentesis, and Thoracentesis.

• The facility is a rural hospital with 24 total beds and an average daily census of 14.
