We are seeking a Hospitalist for an 8-day locum tenens assignment in Maine starting Nov 21, 2025. This position involves 24-hour solo coverage at a rural hospital, typically with 12-15 hours of active clinical work and the remainder on call, with sleeping amenities provided nearby or on-site.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Serve as the solo provider for the hospital during each shift
  • Perform required procedures, including lumbar puncture and paracentesis/thoracentesis
  • Provide direct patient care in both active and on-call capacities
  • Utilize Meditech EHR for documentation and patient management
  • Respond to emergent situations as the sole provider on site


Additional Information

  • Minimum 1 year of autonomous experience required
  • Must be board certified
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • Comfort with solo practice in a rural hospital setting is essential
