Physician - Hospitalist

Job Description

Our client in Kentucky is actively seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Physician to begin a 96-day assignment starting Jun 8, 2026. This role involves managing a busy medical floor with a consistent 7p-7a night shift, focusing on admissions, discharges, and potential overflow, while seeing 20-25 patients daily. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player ready to integrate into a high-volume facility.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform admissions and discharges.
• Manage a daily patient load of 20-25, including new admissions and discharges.
• Address potential patient overflow on the medical floor.
• Collaborate effectively as a team player within a busy facility.
• Handle cases primarily related to Cardiology and Neurology.
• Work exclusively on medical floors with no ICU responsibilities.
• Opportunity to perform procedures if desired, though not a requirement.
• No code team responsibilities are needed.
