We are seeking a Board-Certified Hospitalist for a 10-day locum tenens assignment in Colorado, starting Oct 29, 2025. Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide 24-hour solo hospitalist coverage, including admissions, rounding, and overnight call
  • Begin morning rounds between 7:00am and 8:00am as facility operations dictate
  • Conduct informal evening rounds with ED and nursing staff to address potential issues proactively
  • Evaluate and manage admissions, prioritizing in-person assessment of patients from the ED
  • Utilize transition orders as appropriate for overnight admissions; round on these patients the following morning
  • Perform immediate bedside evaluations for all high acuity ICU admissions
  • Identify and prioritize patient discharges in coordination with interdisciplinary teams
  • Ensure timely completion of discharge processes for optimal patient flow and room turnover
  • Accurately document all patient care activities in the Epic EMR system


Additional Information

  • Active Colorado medical license required
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine or Internal Medicine with Focused Practice in Hospital Medicine required
  • Minimum 1 year of autonomous hospitalist experience required
  • ACLS certification required
  • Experience with Epic EMR preferred
