Job Description

We are seeking a Hospitalist for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Arizona. This opportunity begins on Jan 1, 2026, and features a 7 on/7 off block schedule, primarily covering night shifts with an average of 7-9 admissions per night. The assignment is ideal for candidates with at least one year of hospitalist experience who are board certified or board eligible in Hospital Medicine and hold an active AZ license and DEA.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage inpatient care for a diverse range of cases, including:
  • Anesthesiology
  • Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology
  • Critical Care
  • Gastroenterology
  • General Surgery, Gynecology, Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Pain Management, Podiatry, Urology
  • Hematology/Oncology
  • Nephrology
  • Neurology (telemedicine)
  • Pulmonology
  • Radiology
  • Rheumatology
  • Admit and manage 7-9 patients per night
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Adhere to facility protocols and standards of care


Additional Information

  • Active Arizona license and DEA required
  • Board certified or board eligible in Hospital Medicine
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certifications required
  • Strongly prefer candidates with at least 1 year of hospitalist experience
