Job Description

We are seeking a Hospitalist Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in Wyoming, starting Feb 23, 2026. This is a 42-day contract with 7-14 day shifts per month, featuring 7a-7p hours and a rotating 7 on/7 off schedule. The client is focused on finding the right long-term fit for their acute care and ICU needs.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Collaborate with the Emergency Department for patient care
  • ER manages Code Blue and code procedures
  • Work with ER for airway emergencies
  • Provide care in an open ICU
  • Accept and manage trauma admissions
  • Support a dedicated COVID wing and COVID team
  • Coordinate with Nephrology (outpatient and consult), Tele-ICU (Intensivists), Tele Psychiatry, Radiology, and Nighthawk services
  • Manage vent cases, central lines, and intubations
  • Ship advanced heart failure cases as required
  • APPs support Attending Hospitalist throughout shifts


Additional Information

  • Inpatient and acute care experience required
  • Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
  • Must be licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in Wyoming
  • The client is seeking a provider interested in a long-term fit for their acute and ICU services
