Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Hospitalist Physician Assistant for a locum tenens position in Texas. This assignment begins on Nov 17, 2025, and offers day and night shifts with a minimum commitment of 7 shifts per month. The ideal candidate will have strong procedural skills and experience in hospital medicine, supporting a dynamic clinical team in a fast-paced environment.


Job Details

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform procedures including thoracentesis, central line placement, arterial line, lumbar puncture, and NG/OG tube placement
  • Provide comprehensive care to hospitalized patients in collaboration with the clinical team
  • Participate in both day and night shifts as scheduled
  • Complete required in-person EMR training prior to first shift


Additional Information

  • Must be residency trained in specialty and certified in hospital medicine
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certifications required
  • 8 hours of Stroke CME and 8 hours of Trauma CME required
  • Documentation required: CME and case logs from the past 2 years, education and training diplomas, immunization records (TB, Flu, Hep B, MMR, Varicella), Social Security card, driver's license, and color photo
  • Must provide proof of Texas licensure
