Responsibilities and Duties
Provide hospitalist care and manage inpatient cases under the supervision of attending physicians
Conduct patient evaluations, histories, physical exams, and daily progress notes
Initiate and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team
Order and interpret diagnostic tests as appropriate
Respond to changes in patient status and participate in rapid response and code events
Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately in the EMR
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory requirements
Maintain clear communication with multidisciplinary teams and patient families
Additional Information
Active Texas State PA License required
DEA registration with Texas address
Board certification required
Must provide documentation of recent CME (past two years), case logs (past two years), and all relevant diplomas and licenses
ACLS and PALS certifications required
Annual requirement: 8 hours of Stroke CME and 8 hours of Trauma CME
Completion of in-person EMR training is mandatory prior to the first shift
Current immunization records for TB, Flu, Hep B, MMR, and Varicella required
Applicants must be at least 240 miles from El Paso
