We are seeking a Hospitalist Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in Texas beginning Nov 15, 2025. This opportunity offers a 21-day contract and requires availability for at least 7 shifts per month. Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide hospitalist care and manage inpatient cases under the supervision of attending physicians
  • Conduct patient evaluations, histories, physical exams, and daily progress notes
  • Initiate and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests as appropriate
  • Respond to changes in patient status and participate in rapid response and code events
  • Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately in the EMR
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain clear communication with multidisciplinary teams and patient families


Additional Information

  • Active Texas State PA License required
  • DEA registration with Texas address
  • Board certification required
  • Must provide documentation of recent CME (past two years), case logs (past two years), and all relevant diplomas and licenses
  • ACLS and PALS certifications required
  • Annual requirement: 8 hours of Stroke CME and 8 hours of Trauma CME
  • Completion of in-person EMR training is mandatory prior to the first shift
  • Current immunization records for TB, Flu, Hep B, MMR, and Varicella required
  • Applicants must be at least 240 miles from El Paso
