Job Description

We are seeking a Hospitalist Physician Assistant for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Mississippi, starting Nov 1, 2025. This contract will cover both day and night shifts, with standard shift hours of 7am to 7pm. Qualified candidates must hold an active Mississippi license, board certification in Hospital Medicine, and a current DEA registration.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Deliver inpatient hospital medicine care under physician supervision
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions for hospitalized patients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
  • Document all patient encounters and progress notes in accordance with hospital protocols
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, licensing, and facility requirements
