This 30-day assignment is split across three periods: November 2-11, December 2-11, and January 1-10, with potential for extension. The schedule consists of 8a-5p shifts. The role focuses on observational care in a community hospital setting, working alongside physicians who manage admissions, discharges, and procedural responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a diverse medical environment, including general medicine, acute care, women's health, and surgical services. This opportunity offers a chance to provide essential support in a dynamic healthcare setting with an average daily census of 16 patients.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide observational care to patients in various hospital units

• Collaborate with attending physicians on patient care plans

• Assist in managing patients in medical-surgical and ICU settings

• Contribute to the care of patients across general medicine, acute care, women's health, and surgical services

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records using Meditech EHR

• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and care conferences

• Ensure high-quality patient care and safety standards are met

• Adapt to the needs of a community hospital environment

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members


Additional Information:

• Must be licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of Kansas

• Experience in hospitalist or acute care settings preferred

• Familiarity with Meditech EHR system is beneficial

• Strong clinical decision-making and time management skills required

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to varying patient needs
