Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Texas, starting Nov 17, 2025, for 45 days. This role involves providing care on both day and night shifts, with exact hours and scheduling to be determined. The ideal candidate will be residency trained, hospital medicine certified, and skilled in a broad range of hospitalist procedures in a dynamic inpatient setting.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Perform thoracentesis
  • Central line placement
  • Arterial line insertion
  • Conduct lumbar punctures
  • NG/OG tube placement
  • Manage additional hospitalist procedures as needed

Additional Information
  • Must be certified in Hospital Medicine and residency trained in specialty
  • Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
  • Proof of 8 hours of Stroke CME and 8 hours of Trauma CME required
  • Must provide CME and case logs for the past 2 years, copies of all education and training diplomas, Social Security card, driver’s license, and a color photo
  • Immunization records for TB, Flu, Hepatitis B, MMR, and Varicella required
  • In-person EMR training required prior to first shift
  • Texas state license required
