Job Description

We are seeking a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Mississippi. This opportunity begins on Nov 1, 2025, and requires availability for both day and night shifts, with scheduled hours from 7am to 7pm. The ideal candidate will be board certified in Hospital Medicine, possess an active Mississippi license, and have a current DEA registration.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Deliver hospitalist care to admitted patients as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement treatment plans
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to coordinate patient care
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe appropriate medications
  • Document all patient encounters and clinical activities in accordance with facility policies
  • Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards


Additional Information

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with a master's or doctoral degree
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in Mississippi required
  • Board certification in Hospital Medicine required
  • Current DEA registration required
  • Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, or equivalent board
