Physician - Hematologist/Oncologist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Hematology/Oncology Physician for a 60-day assignment in North Carolina. Our client offers a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, for 2-3 weeks per month, with minimal call. This role primarily involves outpatient care, focusing on prostate, kidney, bladder, and benign hematology cases.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage outpatient cases.
• Perform special procedures with a focus on prostate, kidney, bladder, and benign hematology cases.
• See 15-18 patients per day, including 1-2 new patients and 2 benign hematology cases.

Additional Information

• Board Certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology.
• Requires Controlled Substances Registration (CSR) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification.
• EMR: Epic.
• Setting: Clinic with call responsibilities.
• Call schedule: Minimal call, potentially overlapping with scheduled days/nights or agreed upon weekend coverage. Currently, 9 providers share 24-hour and night call.
• Patients per day: 15-18, including 1-2 new patients and 2 benign hematology cases.
• LOA: 60 Days.
• Staffing Mix: APPs, pharmacists, nurses.
