Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist for a 4-day assignment in Virginia, starting Mar 20, 2026. This Physician will provide coverage for 24-hour shifts (7:00a-7:00a), focusing on a comprehensive range of gastroenterological procedures. Duties encompass various diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopies, biopsies, and management of complex GI conditions, ensuring continuity of expert patient care.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Esophageal Dilatation/Manometry
  • Esophageal Manometry Interpretation
  • Small Bowel Biopsy
  • Lower GI Endoscopy
  • Sigmoidoscopy
  • Colonoscopy
  • Liver Biopsy
  • Insertion/Management of Sengstaken/Blakemore Tube
  • Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
  • Upper GI Endoscopy: with Biopsy, with Foreign Body Removal, with Fulguration of Bleeder (Cautery vs. Laser), with Injection of Varices, with Banding of Varices, with ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography), Diagnostic, Therapeutic, with PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy)
  • On average 8 procedures per weekend: GSI, Hepatology, RGA, Surgery, Colon, Egd, ERCP
