We are seeking a Board-certified Family Physician for a 6-month locum tenens assignment in California, with potential to extend to 1 year. This opportunity begins on Oct 27, 2025, and involves day shifts from Monday to Friday, with some flexibility. The role requires adeptness in managing a diverse array of patient needs, utilizing the Cerner EMR system to enhance care delivery.

• Schedule: Week A: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, Week B: Mon-Thu 8am-5pm (flexible day off)

Responsibilities and Duties

• Consult with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
• Recommend and order tests to determine the extent of illness or help diagnose conditions.
• Monitor lab results, medication adherence, and medication toxicities.
• Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccinations, and other medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
• Explain procedures, test results, or prescribed treatment with patients.
• Refer patients to medical specialists when necessary.
• Represent the practice at hospital committees, ensuring fair distribution of responsibilities among physicians.
• Collaborate and manage Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
