We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Alabama. This opportunity begins on Nov 1, 2025, with a minimum 30-day contract and offers a flexible schedule of 24-hour shifts, such as 4x24 or 3x24 per week. The physician will provide care in a critical access hospital environment and must be comfortable performing all lifesaving procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide emergency medicine care in a critical access hospital
• Manage inpatient swing beds and inpatient psychiatric beds
• Oversee patient care in a 7-bed emergency department
• Perform all critical lifesaving procedures, including intubation, ventilator management, and line placement
• Collaborate with on-site and telehealth specialist coverage (Pediatrics, Lab, Diagnostic Radiology, Neurology, Psychiatry, Urology, General Surgery)
• Deliver care to a diverse patient population, including pediatric and adult patients
• Participate in clinic and hospital-based patient management as needed

Additional Information

• Active Alabama medical license required
• Rural emergency medicine and trauma experience preferred
• Commitment to a minimum 3-month contract; ongoing need
