We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Virginia. This position begins Dec 1, 2025, with a 36-day assignment length and offers a variety of shifts including days, evenings, and nights. The physician will join a Trauma Center with 40,000 annual combined ED volume and comprehensive clinical support.

Responsibilities and Duties
Provide emergency medical care to patients in a high-volume emergency department
Work collaboratively with advanced practice providers and clinical staff
Manage a diverse patient population in a hospital setting
Respond to trauma cases as part of a Trauma Center team
Support a Magnet-designated hospital and fully accredited Chest Pain Center
Participate in care protocols recognized by The Joint Commission for excellence in heart attack, pneumonia, surgical care, and orthopedic surgeries
Additional Information
Must have a valid Virginia medical license and DEA at the time of credentialing
ABEM or ABEOM certification required; BE/BC within seven years of residency completion
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
History of taking ATLS is necessary; if not Emergency Medicine boarded, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS are required
