Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a crucial 3-day assignment in Texas, starting May 9, 2026. The incoming physician will cover 24-hour shifts at a Trauma Center, providing essential care in an ER. This role involves managing a diverse patient demographic, including pediatric and geriatric cases, alongside robust specialist coverage. Key responsibilities include performing all lifesaving procedures, such as intubation, extubation, ventilation management, and effectively handling emergency codes.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive emergency medical care in a Trauma Center.
  • Manage an Emergency Room, addressing a wide range of emergent conditions.
  • Collaborate with robust specialist coverage, available both clinic and hospital-based.
  • Adhere strictly to transfer/admit protocols and OB protocols.
  • Manage a diverse patient demographic, including 5% trauma, 50% pediatric, and 35% geriatric cases.
  • Perform all necessary lifesaving procedures, including intubation, extubation, and ventilation management.
  • Conduct thorough history and physical examinations (H&P).
  • Effectively manage and respond to emergency codes.
